Press anywhere

Access anything you need on the timeline.

Keyboard-First Workflow

Keep your hands on the keyboard. Search built-in effects, installed third-party plugins, and transitions. Apply them from one field.

Favorites & Recent

Pin what you run every day. Favorites and Recent show when the palette is empty. Type to search the full catalog: effects, plugins, transitions, exports.

Custom Lexicon

Bind anything. Assign custom keyboard shortcuts to any command or macro in your workflow.

Powerful Macros

Automate the repetitive. Build multi-step chains with timeline conditions and user prompts.

Power moves

The shortcuts editors actually remember, built into the same palette.

Type less. Hit more.

Type w s for Warp Stabilizer or s s for Set Speed. First-letter matching for the commands you run every day.

Frame on your clipboard

Copy the program frame as PNG and paste into Slack, email, or a client thread. Send a still to your team without an export dialog.

macOS only in v1.

Before & after, one command

Export paired stills (source vs. with effects) or video clips through Media Encoder for grade checks, revision rounds, and client sign-off.

Built for the full edit day.

Philos stays docked in your edit bay, not only when you need a shortcut. Project reports, per-project notes, export workflows, and a home panel with a clock and a greeting when you come back.

Project Report

Timeline and media stats for archive or stakeholder handoffs. Copy, save as .md or .txt, or export from the same panel.

Notes

Per-project notes docked in Premiere for client feedback and to-dos without leaving the timeline.

Export workflows

Queue clips to Media Encoder with filename wildcards. Consistent naming from the same tool you search commands in.

A panel that stays

Home with a live clock, time-aware greeting, and quick paths to palette, macros, and Lexicon, built to live in your bay all day.

Features

Everything lives in one panel.

Deep dive into each workflow tool — screenshots at product capture.

Command palette

Find what you need, fast. Fuzzy search and first-letter matching (w s, s s) locate commands in fewer keystrokes. Keep favorites docked, or summon the floating palette right over your timeline.

Timecode navigation

Jump the playhead or move selected clips without a numpad. Type +5, .24, 4.., or full timecode in the palette. Live HH:MM:SS:FF preview at your sequence frame rate. Enter to apply. Relative math and overwrite-aware clip moves included.

Effects & transitions

Search Premiere's effect and transition list from the palette, including third-party plugins already installed in your Effects panel. Type diss for Cross Dissolve or find any installed effect by name.

Macros

Chain complex actions into a single keystroke. Require specific timeline conditions, ask for user input mid-flight, and import or export JSON setups to share with your team.

Time Rewind & Safe Automation

Premiere History often skips motion, speed, and trim edits. Philos keeps its own rewind stack with snapshots — undo Philos edits even when the History panel stays empty. Time Forward redoes the last rewind. History survives panel reloads per project. Default Lexicon: ⌘⇧U rewind · ⌘⇧Y forward.

Lexicon

Assign shortcuts to any command or macro. On macOS, the native helper fires your bindings while the Premiere timeline stays focused.

Export

Queue selected clips to Adobe Media Encoder, use filename wildcards (client, title, sequence format), and run before/after still or clip exports for reviews from the same palette.

Project Report & Notes

Generate timeline and media stats for handoffs. Keep per-project notes in the same panel. No scattered sticky notes or chat threads.

Ask AI (optional)

Bring your own API key (Groq, Gemini, OpenRouter, or 9Router). Press Tab in the palette for editing help grounded in your timeline. Optional. Philos works fully offline without it.

Why editors switch

Same edit. Less friction.

Without Philos Deck
  • Finding effects & commands

Digging through nested bins and scrolling the default panels.

  • Repetitive timeline tasks

Clicking the same menus and settings for every sequence.

  • Export naming & handoffs

Status updates via chat and manual filename typing.

  • Clip & attribute utilities

Copying effects and pasting attributes clip by clip.

  • Playhead & clip positioning

Reaching for the numpad or dragging the playhead on a laptop.

  • Undo when History is empty

Position, speed, and ripple edits never appear — you're stuck or guessing.

With Philos Deck
  • Two letters, then Enter

Open the palette, type w s for Warp Stabilizer or s s for Set Speed, and run it.

  • One macro

Run a custom macro once. All steps, done.

  • Reports + wildcards

Structured project reports and automated wildcard exports.

  • One keystroke

Swap clips and paste effect buffers across the timeline from the palette.

  • Type and jump

Type .24, +5, or 01:00:00:00 in the palette. Live preview, Enter to jump playhead or move selected clips.

  • Time Rewind

Rewind Philos edits with snapshots. Macros, speed ripple, and motion restore in one step — then Time Forward if you went too far.

Built for every seat in the edit bay.

Daily editors

Focus on the cut. Apply effects and transitions, swap clips, and run timeline actions from a floating panel without breaking flow.

Assistant editors

Automate the setup. Use macros to batch-process clips, standardize sequences, and keep a product-owned undo stack before handoff.

Freelancers

Handle the admin. Generate project reports for client updates and wildcard exports to keep deliverables organized.
